The Culprits
Right now, the Last Stand is keeping an eagle eye on the Australian retail sector who are selling out our forests.

Retailers all over the country are currently profiting from the sale of products sourced from Australia’s native forests.
From paper to flooring and furniture, major Australian retailers are playing a role in the destruction of Australia’s native forests.
We are holding them to account.
As are some other good folks in Australia. Our campaign focused on Harvey Norman was inspired by research done by Markets for Change. They have had some great campaign wins over the last year, with their reporting of unsustainable practices in paper and flooring products leading to suppliers seeking more ethical alternatives. Check their website for more.
The Wilderness Society also has a great campaign targeting Reflex paper. You can find out more and sign the ethical paper pledge here.
We need to keep our remaining forests intact for the health of our air and water, and for the threatened species that call them home. They are also darned lovely to walk around and trees storing carbon is so hot right now!
